This is my 400th post on my blog and I decided to share some very interesting articles that are written on a few blogs I read.
For example Money Saving Mom has an article about 100 ways to save $100
1) Make out and follow a written budget.
2) Use cash only for the majority of your purchases
3) Use an envelope system
4) Plan a menu and follow it
5) Designate one or two nights per week for meatless meals
6) Buy your prescription glasses from Zenni Optical
7) Utilize your local library
8) Carefully evaluate all purchases and expenditures
9) Frequent consignment shops and thrift stores
10) Use less whenever possible

She has given up using paper towels.
When we moved, I decided to stop buying sponges to wash dishes. I bought a 12 pack of towels to use in the kitchen. I wash them and re use them.
Saves me about $20 or so a year.
I also don’t buy dryer sheets. I make my own by using an old hand/face towel and soak it in equal parts of softner/water solution and then let them dry. Toss in dryer with clothes. I get about 30 loads from each towel. I have 3 that I use. The softner I buy is Purex, lasts me a while and I pay $1 at $ Tree.
This saves me at least $50 or more a year!

I also have an online friend who just started a blog. She is the most frugalist person I know. She shops for Christmas all year round! I don’t mean for that year’s Christmas either I mean for the next year or more! LOL She finds the most incredible deals on clothes, etc.
Please stop by her blog “Spend Less Live More” and read some of her articles on what she does. She also includes what she’s having for dinner and breaks the price down per person.
